FAQ - Forum

If there is a new reply in a thread you get a little red circled number above the forum category/thread. But not everyone is interested in everything that is posted in the forum.

So here is how to get rid of the little number without having to read everything:
Go to the front page of the forum and klick on the little check mark. You can find this symbol in the white bar above the shoutbox.

Now every forum is marked read and the little red numbers are gone.

With RSS you get notifications from the forum on your desktop.

To use this, you need a RSS-Reader. You can find many such programs on the internet.

Our suggestion: the Feed-Reader Desktop Ticker. This program is quite easy to configure and has a nice and ordered layout. Hereis a little user guide for it.

To activate the RSS-Feed for the KP website, go to the front page of the forum. On the right side, right above the shoutbox, you can find the RSS button.

Right click on this button and choose “copy link address” and paste the link into the feed list of your program (with “Desktop Ticker”: File -> Manage Feeds …, paste the link into the bottom text field and click on “Add”)

Now you get notifications for the whole forum.

If you only want the RSS-Feed for a specific sub forum, first click on the forum you want and then copy the RSS link from that page.

With the RSS-Feed you are now always up to date!
